PAHALGAM - THE VALLEY OF SHEPHERDS
Pahalgam is a
small the beautiful state of Kashmir. Despite its small size it is quite a
popular tourist destination. It is a magnificent hill station with enchanting
scenic beauty that would hold you captivated. This small destination has a lot
to offer to the tourists such as:-
LIDDER RIVER : This
river flows through pahalgam and has clear as well as pure water. You can sit
beside the river on the lush meadows and enjoy its beauty. It is also safe to
dive into it and enjoy the chilly clear water. The meadows beside the river offer
a great picnic as well as photo stop.
LAVENDER PARK : This spectacular natural beauty is the best spot to spend time with your
friends, family or even yourself. It is certainly the best spot to rejuvenate. It
offers an amazing view of the mountains with a spot next to the river and open
wide lush garden. It also possesses some adventure activities such as zipline
and you could get your photograph clicked in traditional kashmiri outfits with
a majestic view behind!
APPLE VALLEY : It
is a place with large apple orchards situated some kilometres before pahalgam.
You could buy fresh apples in winters or even enjoy fresh apple juice here.
SAFFRON VALLEY : This valley is spread in a radius of 6 kilometres where authentic saffron is
being cultivated.The shops here
offer real saffron and organic kashmiri dry fruits and a nominal rate. If you
chose to visit Pahalgam, buying its saffron should be on your list.
BAISARAN : This
place situated in Pahalgam is also known as the “Mini Switzerland”. You need to
book a horse here which would help you in the trek while enjoying the
breath-taking view on your way to the hill top. It is a must visit place if you
find peace amongst the beauty of nature.
MINI ZOO : Pahalgam
also has a mini zoo which is perfect spot for kids. Kids feel excited and
zealous to watch the animals wander. It is an amazing place to spend some time
with the wildlife while enjoying the view of the mountains.
