PHUKET FANTASEA: A MAGICAL THAI EVENING YOU SHOULDN’T MISS

If you’re visiting Phuket and thinking whether Phuket FantaSea is worth your time—let me just say, it turned out to be one of the most entertaining evenings of my trip!

Reaching the Park (Around 5:30 PM)

I reached the park just before sunset, and honestly, that’s the best time. The entire place starts lighting up beautifully, and you get enough time to explore without rushing. The entrance itself feels like stepping into a Thai fairytale village.

Exploring the Carnival Village (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM)

Before the main show, I spent time wandering around the “Carnival Village,” which is like a cultural theme market.

There were:

Traditional Thai handicraft shops

Fun street performances

Small cultural shows happening at different corners

Plenty of photo spots (don’t miss the colorful Thai-style architecture!)

I even tried some quick snacks while walking around—everything felt lively and festive.

Buffet Dinner at Golden Kinnaree (6:30 PM – 8:00 PM)

I opted for the buffet at Golden Kinnaree Restaurant, and it was massive!

They had:

Thai curries and noodles

Indian vegetarian options (big plus!)

Continental dishes

Desserts section that I definitely over-visited

Tip: Try to go for dinner early (around 6:30 PM) to avoid long queues.

The Main Highlight – Fantasy of a Kingdom Show (9:00 PM – 10:15 PM)

The main show happens inside the grand theatre, and it starts around 9:00 PM, so make sure you enter by 8:30 PM.

And wow… no photos allowed inside—but honestly, that makes it even more immersive.

The show included:

Traditional Thai dance performances

Acrobatics and aerial stunts

Illusions and magical storytelling

Live animals (including elephants!)

Stunning costumes and stage effects

The entire performance tells a story inspired by Thai mythology, and even if you don’t fully understand it, the visuals keep you hooked the whole time.

Quick Note on Timings

Park opens: ~5:30 PM

Dinner buffet: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Theatre gates open: 8:30 PM

Show timing: 9:00 PM – 10:15 PM

What I loved most about Phuket FantaSea wasn’t just the show—it was the entire experience. From the vibrant pre-show village to the grand finale, it felt like a complete cultural evening rather than just a performance.

If you’re traveling with family, it’s a must-do. Even as a solo traveler, I never felt bored for a second.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely yes. Just plan your evening properly so you don’t miss out on any part of it.
