WHY PHU QUOC SHOULD BE YOUR NEXT INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY

Some places leave a lasting impression from the moment you arrive, and for me, Phu Quoc was one of them.

Before planning this trip, I had heard people describe it as the "Maldives of Vietnam." After spending a few unforgettable days exploring both the northern and southern parts of the island, I realized that Phu Quoc is so much more than pristine beaches. It's a destination where world-class attractions, wildlife experiences, breathtaking cable car rides, island hopping, spectacular evening shows, and stunning tropical scenery come together to create an unforgettable holiday.

A Hassle-Free International Getaway

One of the biggest advantages of visiting Phu Quoc is that it offers visa-free entry for eligible travellers who travel directly to the island and stay only within Phu Quoc, following the island's immigration regulations.

For travellers looking for a quick and convenient international beach escape, Phu Quoc is an excellent choice.

Getting to Phu Quoc from India

Although there are no direct flights from India, reaching Phu Quoc is easy with one connecting flight via major Asian hubs such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, or Ho Chi Minh City. Several airlines operate convenient connections from major Indian cities, making the island easily accessible.

North Phu Quoc – Adventure, Entertainment & Wildlife

I chose to begin my journey in North Phu Quoc, and it turned out to be the perfect introduction to the island. This part of Phu Quoc is packed with exciting attractions that are ideal for families, couples, and groups of friends.

Grand World – The Sleepless City

My first stop was Grand World, a lively entertainment and lifestyle destination often referred to as the "City That Never Sleeps."

Colourful European-inspired architecture, charming canals, cafés, shopping streets, and vibrant evening performances create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else on the island. One of my favourite experiences was the peaceful gondola ride through the canals at sunset.

VinWonders Phu Quoc

The following day was reserved for VinWonders, Vietnam's largest theme park.

From thrilling roller coasters and exciting water slides to themed zones, aquariums, fantasy castles, and family-friendly attractions, it's a place where visitors of all ages can spend an entire day having fun.

Vinpearl Safari

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting Vinpearl Safari, Vietnam's largest wildlife conservation park.

Unlike a traditional zoo, visitors explore the safari aboard specially designed buses while animals roam freely in spacious natural habitats. Watching giraffes, zebras, rhinos, lions, and many other species up close made it an unforgettable experience.

South Phu Quoc –   Beaches, Island Adventures & Sunset Entertainment

After exploring the north, I headed to South Phu Quoc, where the atmosphere becomes more relaxed and tropical. Beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, island adventures, and spectacular evening shows make this part of the island equally memorable.

The Famous 4 Islands Tour

One of the best experiences in South Phu Quoc was the famous 4 Islands Tour.

Each island offers its own unique beauty, with turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, colourful coral reefs, and excellent opportunities for swimming and snorkelling. Every stop felt like a postcard brought to life.

Ride the World's Longest Over-Sea Cable Car

No visit to South Phu Quoc is complete without experiencing the world's longest over-sea cable car connecting An Thoi to Hon Thom Island.

The panoramic views of emerald waters, fishing villages, and scattered tropical islands from above are simply breathtaking and easily become one of the highlights of the journey.

Kiss of the Sea Show

As evening arrived, I watched the spectacular Kiss of the Sea Show.

Combining water, fire, lasers, music, multimedia effects, and storytelling, the performance feels like an international production set against the beautiful backdrop of the ocean.

Symphony of the Sea Show

The perfect ending to the day was the Symphony of the Sea Show.

Jet skis, flyboards, synchronized performances, colourful lighting, music, and fireworks transform the coastline into an incredible open-air stage. It's one of those experiences that stays with you long after your holiday ends.

Why I'd Visit Phu Quoc Again

What impressed me most about Phu Quoc wasn't just its beautiful beaches—it was the incredible variety of experiences packed into one island.

In just a few days, I explored Vietnam's largest theme park, enjoyed an unforgettable wildlife safari, cruised between tropical islands, rode the world's longest over-sea cable car, watched spectacular evening shows, and relaxed while enjoying some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.

Whether you're planning a honeymoon, a family vacation, a trip with friends, or simply looking for your next international getaway, Phu Quoc offers the perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, entertainment, and natural beauty.

If you're searching for an international holiday that's easy to plan and filled with unforgettable experiences, Phu Quoc deserves a place at the top of your travel bucket list.
