The train departs from Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi at 06:10 AM and reaches Ayodhya Cantt. at 02:30 PM. For return, it leaves Ayodhya Cantt. at 03:25 PM and arrives back in Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi at 11:40 PM—making it a comfortable and efficient travel option.
From the very beginning, Ayodhya welcomes you with a sense of calm and spiritual richness.
Day 1: Begin your exploration at Lata Chowk, a lively hub that offers your first glimpse into the city’s vibrant energy. From here, a short 10–15 minute walk takes you to Ram Ki Paidi, one of the most peaceful spots in Ayodhya. The gentle flow of the sacred Saryu River, combined with the rhythmic chants and soft sounds of temple bells, creates a deeply calming atmosphere—perfect for a quiet stroll and reflection.
Just a few minutes away is the ancient Nageshwar Nath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Its spiritual aura and historical importance make it a must-visit.
Continue walking to Treta Ke Thakur Temple, believed to be the site where Lord Ram performed the Ashwamedha Yajna.
As evening sets in, head towards Saryu Ghat. Around 7:00 PM, the Saryu Aarti begins—a truly mesmerizing experience. The glow of lamps, the echo of chants, and the shimmering river under the twilight sky create a moment that words can hardly capture.
Day 2: Start your day with a visit to Hanuman Garhi, one of the most revered temples in the city. Climbing the steps to seek Lord Hanuman’s blessings is both energizing and uplifting.
Just a 5-minute distance away lies the magnificent Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the spiritual heart of Ayodhya. The atmosphere here is deeply devotional, offering a powerful and unforgettable experience.
Next, visit Kanak Bhawan, known for its beautifully adorned idols of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. The temple radiates warmth, devotion, and architectural beauty.
A short walk brings you to Dashrath Mahal, believed to be the royal residence of King Dashrath. Its vibrant colors and traditional design make it feel like stepping into the Ramayana.
Continue onward to Sita Ki Rasoi and Tulsi Smarak Bhawan, both within walking distance. These sites add cultural and historical depth to your journey.
Later, proceed to Guptar Ghat (about 20–25 minutes away), a serene and less crowded spot associated with Lord Ram’s final journey.
In the evening, drive to Nandigram (Bharat Kund), located around 40–45 minutes from Ayodhya Dham, followed by a visit to Suraj Kund (another 25–30 minutes ahead). Here, you can unwind and enjoy a modern touch to this ancient city—a captivating laser show that beautifully narrates the stories of Ayodhya.
